In short

We set no cookies, build no user profiles and sell no data. We process personal data only when you give it to us through the signup form. That’s also why this site has no cookie banner.

Visiting the site (hosting)

The site is hosted by Railway Corporation (USA); DNS and delivery run through Cloudflare, Inc. (USA). When you visit, these providers process technically necessary server logs (including IP address, timestamp, page requested, browser type) in order to serve and secure the site. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Founding Family signup

If you sign up through the form, we process your email address and — if provided — your language mix and your child’s age band, plus the time of signup.

Purpose: contacting you about the founding phase and news about Wortbeet. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time — via the unsubscribe link in any email, or informally by emailing us. Withdrawal takes effect going forward.

Retention: until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion, and at the latest when the project is discontinued.

We use Resend, Inc. (USA) as a processor for storage and sending.

Analytics

Where enabled, we use Plausible Analytics (Plausible Insights OÜ, Estonia) — cookieless analytics hosted in the EU that builds no cross-device profiles and shares no personal data with third parties. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in privacy-friendly statistics (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Transfers to the United States

The controller and the providers named above — Railway, Cloudflare and Resend — are located in the United States, so data is transferred to a third country. We rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and, where providers are certified, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Despite these safeguards, access by US authorities cannot be entirely ruled out.

Your rights

An informal email to hello@wortbeet.com is enough for any of these.

Children

Wortbeet is aimed at parents, not children. We deliberately collect no data from children; the age field in the form is a coarse age band and is optional.
